Code of Conduct

We are proud of our Utah tap scene and how welcoming and inclusive it is.  We want all of our attendees to have a positive and inspiring experience and return for many more years to come.  We are dedicated to making sure our dancers feel safe and accepted, no matter their gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, size, appearance, race, or religion.  In order to ensure this atmosphere we would like to clarify our safe space policy.

No forms of harassment will be tolerated.

There will be participants of all ages at this event, therefore we respectfully ask there there be no swearing, vulgar language, and use only clean and age appropriate music.  Actions, music, dancing, and behavior should not be sexual in nature.

The use of alcohol or tobacco is strictly forbidden.

The venue is a public space, so please keep an eye on your belongings and do not assume that everyone you encounter is a trusted member of our group.

If you are a parent of minors, be sure to chaperone your children appropriately.

If you feel unsafe or if something doesn't look or feel right to you, please contact a member of our staff.

Please do not sneak in to the event without paying or help others do so.  It is tacky and shows disrespect for the event, the instructors, the organizer, and our scene in general, which depends on your ticket purchases to continue thriving.

Please be kind to our volunteers.

All Utah Tap Fest faculty, staff, volunteers, and participants are required to comply with the code of conduct.  Anyone engaging in behavior that does not meet the code of conduct will be warned/and or ejected from the event without a refund at the organizer's discretion.
